The Duchesnay Falls Nature Trails are a short drive east, in North Bay, and offer waterfall drops up to 15 feet high. Be careful not to fall in, as you can trace every inch of waterfall simply by walking along the trail. As for the winter, there are endless trails to enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. For a more curated experience, check out the West Nipissing Nordic Ski Club, which offers 13km of groomed and tracked cross-country ski trails, and 12km of snow-packed snowshoeing trails. Take a load off in the heated chalet after your ski!
The outdoor experience extends to the wide variety of culinary options in West Nipissing and Sturgeon Falls. Enjoy a freshly-roasted coffee on the deck at Twiggs Coffee Roasters as you overlook Minnehaha Bay, and watch the boats launch down the river towards the lake.
